The Londoner Magazine
“The Londoner Magazine was started to display the wonderful talent of artists who have a connection with the city of London.
We want to celebrate these connections that our artists have with London and display them in the form of imaginary covers in homage to the amazing covers of The New Yorker , The Parisianer and The Tokyoiter.
Each month a new cover will be released along with an artist’s story and profile on what their particular approach for their cover design was. We are interested in work from artists all over the world, but the one rule is they are making art based on experiences, viewpoints and connections they have with the City of London, Good or Bad!”
ISSUE 10 OCT 2018 Jemma Klein
Jemma Klein is an Artist and Illustrator based in Hull, England. She creates artwork heavily influenced by her love for all things film and popular culture, specialising in hand-rendered traditional and digital artwork.
Jemma’s October cover focuses heavily on the current political climate, with reference to Brexit and the idea of ‘it being a pantomime’. The artwork was created as a homage to Victorian puppet master illustrations, but with a modern twist.”
